I have been journeying through this process we call life and recently I have been fascinated by my creative friends. I have been so fascinated that I decided to fuse my avatar from the online game of Second Life with some of my paper projects. Above you will see some of my 3X3 Love Notes. Elements of Design

Today in the online game of Second Life I went to a place called, Elements of Design. I saw an ad of theirs in my copy of Prim Perfect magazine. I'm noticing all the good places are further toward the back of the magazine:)

Anyway, I went and found the best furniture! You must go and see this place.

There is a great deal more than furniture there. Clearly, we are dealing with an artist here who knows the ELEMENTS OF DESIGN. Everything is amazing!

There is a pub in the area and its decorated with furniture from, Elements of Design (surprise). On the table in the pub, however, there is a snow globe. I LOVE globes. I would say I collect them but like my special handmade pepper mills, I tend to give them to special friends so I can't say I collect them. I would love to.

The snow globe on the table was fabulous and I simply had to have one. So, I found out who made it and went to that store. What would my lovely eyes see when I arrived? MAGIC! This creative artist designed many snow globes (she even has one globe called "Big Ass Globe" and it really is) and music boxes. I still can't decide which one to purchase.

What a beautifully created kitchen. The kitchen is my second favorite place in the house and this one is very well designed. I love the animations especially. There are so many of them! I just played and played with them. From cooking to eating to just reading the paper, they have put much thought in this creation.

Zutter

Well, I've been really busy in real life but I want to share my new toy. It's a wonderful binding machine. At first I thought that it was just another binding machine, big deal, but this one is really different and I am filled with many lovely ideas. In another blog I'll have to show pictures of the many books I've created with matching cards. I have made several books based on the online game of Second Life and created matching cards too.

Might I suggest you look at the many youtube videos and see what it's all about. I really think you will like what you see and want one. I do have yet another suggestion. Use a coupon to purchase one from any of the craft stores that carry zutter products (i.e. Hobby Lobby). They are a bit pricey but with a 50% off coupon you will enjoy it even more. Have fun and....

Piece of Peace

What a creative day I've had today. I guess I can't really call it work because I just had too much for to call it that. I went "BOXES". I learned how it make all sorts of boxes.

I think it's really funny that I enjoy creating cards. I don't send out cards. I can't even tell you how much a stamp is. I love creating cards and giving them to people who will actually use them.

So, I continued working on my cards and now I've added bookmarks. I love these bookmarks because I had to go shopping for all the charms. What's funny is I picked the drama and comedy masks. Out of all of the lovely charms, I picked the theatre masks. Go figure.

I also picked a fairy charm. I thought of my dear friend from the online game of Second Life. I hope you enjoy my pictures and ....

Baby It's Cold Outside

It's been a lovely day. It's been very cold where I am but still lovely.

I've been running around shopping and came home and started creating. This year I've decided to create many of my holiday gifts. It's been a great deal of fun. Even creating the boxes the presents go in has proven to be fun.

I must admit I am tasting and eating those holiday calories that I hope will disappear with the holidays (fat chance).

Anyway, I took a nice break from my holiday creating and went for a visit on my favorite holiday sim, Spellbound Woods. I noticed Julia Hathor created new "fallen logs".

I love how naturally beautiful this sim is. Such attention to detail makes me want to visit. Visually this is one of the best sims I've seen in the online game of Second Life and this sim has what is missing in so many other sims and that is.... wonderment and awe.

Spellbound touches the senses, and fills me with positive emotions. I love to visit and I am always inspired to write when I visit.

Come on out and visit Spellbound Woods. Bring a coat because it' cold out here! I've got my skates on so join me and...

Snowdrift Cottage

Oh WOW! Julia Hathor has done it again! She has created a lovely holiday cottage. It is simply gorgeous.

The attention to detail is incredible. This is truly done in Julia style. From the wallpaper to the couch pillows, the entire cottage is a work of beautiful design.

The day after

It's the day after Thanksgiving and things were CRAZY this morning. How do I know? I was out in the Black Friday Shopping Crowds.

It has been a while since I decided to go and brave the rough crowds looking for that perfect present. I left home under the blanket of darkness and the first sight I saw was Wal-mart. Cars were waiting to go into the parking lot. Clearly, that was not going to be my first stop. Next I passed Best Buy. There were people camping out and the line wrapped around the store and ended at the parking lot entrance. I said, "Bye bye to Best Buy", as I drove by.

The morning was not a total bust. I was able to get my husband something special. It really warmed my heart to see the number of people out there trying to make their loved ones happy by purchasing some item(s).

I'm sure the items will be appreciated but I hope the receivers really think about more than just the present and focus more on what the present symbolizes.

It's the most wonderful time of year to me because we give love and it's okay:) Go give love and ....

I just love that I found scrapbooking in the online game of Second Life. I haven't done a great deal of scrapbooking in a while but I really have been enjoying making cards and such.

When I saw what great work they are doing with scrapbooking in the online game of Second Life, I was really pleased.

I love Cuttlebug

I have a new toy! It's called the Cuttlebug:) Cute name.

I love what it does. It cuts and embosses. Then the fun part begins for me. I paint! Well, actually I don't know if you would call it painting but I create. That is probably a more accurate statement.

I've made bookmarks, labels, and note cards today.

Pretty Flower

Isn't my flower pretty? I love it and I had a great time working with it.

Recently I found working with embossing very fun. I went to a craft show and watched someone give a demonstration. I have had a wonderful time navigating this world of embossing. I have embossed so much now that my little fingers are numb.

Now I will figure out how to create stencils for embossing in photoshop. So off I go. Wish me luck and....

October Undead

Do you like listening to old radio stories? Do you like scary stories? Well, if the answer to both of those questions is, YES, then I have a place for you to go.

In the online game of Second Life there is a group called, OCTOBER UNDEAD. They have several campsites and we sit around listening to old scary stories from the past. It is absolutely fun. I listen to the stories with my husband because I am a bit afraid to listen to the stories by myself.

I went there again

Yes, I did go there again. I went to the beach and had a fabulous time.

I had what I love to call a , "Me Day".

It started out with my usual wonderful breakfast and then food shopping for the day. I purchased all sorts of treats for the days journey to the beach.

Listening to lovely relaxing music in the car, snacking on my favorite treats, and journeying to my favorite place in the world was a treat in itself.

The next best part of the day was, FREE PARKING. Apparently, after October 31st there is free parking isn't that grand? It was to me.

I indulged in picture taking, video taking and lolloping on the beach benches. IT WAS GREAT!

I am listening to the most amazing story right now. I love storytime in the online game of Second Life.

The story is called, " The Dead Man of Varley Grange". The actor telling the story is doing a wonderful job. I love great acting. His name is Shandon Loring. I have heard him perform before and enjoyed him then too.

Make Applesauce

For the past few nights I have been making applesauce. I forgot how delicious it is. The trick is, I think, is picking the right apples. I haven't mastered that part I'm afraid. Maybe you know the best apples for the job.
To be honest, I have enjoyed all of the apples I picked. My favorites so far are the Gala Apples. Rome apples are too mushy for me and Granny Smith are too tart but they all seem to make great applesauce.
Mixed with just the right amount of cinnamon and we have a delicious treat. Go try it and....

There is simply no place like it. There are even free skates! The music is lovely and the setting is very romantic and relaxing.

Big!

When I went to the State Fair I saw some great sights. This pumpkin was one of them. It had to be the biggest pumpkin I have ever seen in my life!

The question for me became, "What will they do with such a pumpkin?" That could make a great deal of pies. Imagine how many pumpkin seeds are in that! Anyway, it was big and amazing to me.

I sorta wish I liked pumpkins, but I don't like the taste. It's very bitter to me. For those of you who love pumpkins....

Magical Wonderland

Julia Hathor has indeed created a lovely magical wonderland. Where? Well, I'll tell you, Spellbound Woods. It is the most enchanting place in the online game of Second Life. I am starting to visit a bit earlier than last year but well worth it. She has made a few changes but all for the best.

The whole sim reminds me of Christmas past. All good things have been included in this lovely tribute to the holidays.

Hmmm

Hmmm? I've been saying that all day. I've been lost in thought for most of the day. I'm glad it's the end of the week. I need time to sort out all of these ideas that seem to be racing at speeds greater than I can handle.

We are preparing for productions and I am juggling several at once so I'm always thinking about one or more of them. None of this is new to me. What might be different this time is that I'm really at a point in writing a short story that I can't write myself out of. This too is not a first but no less frustrating.

I need a lovely ride through the fall countryside or maybe to my favorite place on earth, the beach. I think I'll start packing.

My Love

Well, I've been away for a few days catching up on some real life adventures. I've had a great time and gathered more inspiration for my short stories.

It's amazing to me how we touch each others lives. It just confirms for me that we are here for each other. How some go through life thinking they can do it all by themselves is still a mystery,

I'm not saying that you can't do everything by yourself. I believe you can but why would you want to?

Oh, the thought occurs to me that maybe you were hurt and that is why you choose to do things on your own. Maybe someone broke your heart so it's difficult for you to engage again in this process we call life. These are indeed painful events but life is about chances, and taking risks. Sometimes the risks pay off and other times they fail. So my thought for you today is, "Learn to fail". For some, they also need to, "Accept success".

Whatever it is you need to do, figure it out so that you can....

Just Fabulous

I went to the best reading tonight in the online game of Second Life. The actors were really talented. I am so glad to have gone. Even after all this time, I am still amazed and it makes me smile to witness such talent. I can't wait until the next reading. They seem to get better each time.

The reading tonight was with two actors. The other readings I had been to in the past had one actor but the one tongiht had two. There was such a great chemistry between the two actors. It was simply wonderful to listen to.

I hope you one day have the opportunity to join us in the online game of Second Life to hear the wonderful talents the actors give freely.

Just Relax

It felt good to get away this weekend and JUST RELAX. I don't always get to do that during this time of the year.

We are now entering the holiday season. We kick things off with the trick or treat thingy. Our little one wants to be a cat... again.

I have got to plan a wonderful Thanksgiving menu. Last year was good but I want to make it better this year.

I'm sitting by the fire at Julia's new place in the online game of Second Life. I love it! The fire is beautiful just like all of her items. In a little while I shall go over and see her singing lamp posts. Julia is so creative. Who would have thought of singing lamp posts? Anyway, I'll sit by the fire in the Second Life and in Real Life and dream of my Thanksgiving menu. More on that later:)

A favorite place to be

Do you have a favorite place to be? I do. I long for my special places where I can relax and just be me. I love to watch my favorite shows, read my inspiring magazines, and eat whatever my sweet tooth desires.

Unfortunately, life does not give everyone the opportunity to enjoy our favorite places all of the time. For some, they clearly get to enjoy whatever they want whenever they want but that is simply not true for all. The good news is that when you are given the opportunity to enjoy your favorite space and do the things you most love to do, be grateful for it and feel really blessed.
